About The Position
Mi-Tech Services, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer - Structural to design temporary and permanent structures associated with utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction projects. The role supports projects from preliminary evaluations and analyses for pursuits and bids through design development and coordination. The engineer will also mentor and support other engineers, coordinate with design and field teams, and provide other assigned support to the Principal Engineer. Mi-Tech is a full-service engineering, design, and construction services firm providing support for utility and infrastructure projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Four to eight years of experience in the design of temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
- Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred.
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures, including foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems.
- Previous construction field experience.
Responsibilities
- Design temporary and permanent structures associated with utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction projects.
- Develop calculation submittals.
- Coordinate development of design and shop drawings.
- Support project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses.
- Mentor and support other engineers.

- Provide support to the Principal Engineer with other assigned duties.
