Requirements

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and five years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role.
  • In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and three years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in safety critical embedded software development and testing.
  • Must possess at least 1 year of DO178B experience.
  • Must possess at least 1 year of experience in avionics industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in application systems Integration testing.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in software development tasks, including design, implementation plans, requirements, software code, integration testing and verification.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into subsystem high level and low-level requirements and make recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
  • Work in a cross-functional agile team, participating in technical discussions and collaborating with other engineers on the team to find optimal solutions.
  • Lead a cross-functional team daily and coordinate regularly with engineering and project management to ensure success of the product and program.
  • Manage aspects of quality, schedule, and scope while navigating through the various team dynamics.
  • Manage work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for small or moderately complex Projects.
