About The Position

This role involves conducting and coordinating moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. It also includes conducting multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities. The engineer will analyze system capabilities and determine end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met. Ensuring hardware and software standards are met and designing and implementing build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, the engineer will develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience as an Embedded Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in embedded software development and verification using C/C++ and Python shell scripting.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with an embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux, etc.).
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with developing systems involving the integration of hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of software design or verification experience within the Avionics industry requiring knowledge of DO-178C and safety critical design.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
