Senior Engineer, SAP Development
About The Position
GameStop, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer, SAP Development to design, develop, and enhance SAP applications in SAP S/4HANA. The engineer will collaborate with business and functional teams to turn requirements into scalable, high-performance technical solutions. The role involves creating and maintaining RICEF objects and developing ABAP/ABAP OO programs, CDS, RAP, BOPF, and SAP UI5 applications. The position also includes analyzing and debugging standard SAP objects and CDS views, enhancing standard applications using the SAP Enhancement Framework, preparing technical specifications, and performing unit and integration testing. The engineer will support system upgrades, installations, and maintenance; develop integration services and interfaces; and assist with performance tuning and troubleshooting. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 625 Westport Parkway, Grapevine, Texas. The stated salary is $130,000 per year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field of study.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Demonstrated experience with SAP ABAP/4, ABAP OO, CDS, RAP, BOPF, OData, and IDocs.
- Demonstrated experience with RICEF development in SAP S/4HANA.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and debugging standard SAP objects and CDS views.
- Demonstrated experience enhancing SAP applications using the Enhancement Framework.
- Ability to design technical specifications based on functional requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with unit and integration testing of ABAP developments.
- Demonstrated experience with Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain modules.
- Demonstrated experience with SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR).
- Demonstrated experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
- Demonstrated experience working with SAP upgrades, installations, and maintenance activities (SPDD/SPAU).
- Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance SAP applications in SAP S/4HANA.
- Work with business and functional teams to translate requirements into scalable, high-performance technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) in SAP S/4HANA.
- Design, develop, and optimize ABAP/ABAP OO programs, CDS, RAP, BOPF, and SAP UI5 applications.
- Analyze and debug standard SAP objects and CDS views to identify and resolve issues.
- Enhance standard SAP applications using the SAP Enhancement Framework.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications based on functional requirements and best coding practices.
- Perform unit and integration testing of developments.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to gather and refine technical requirements.
- Assist with SPDD and SPAU activities during system upgrades, installations, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain OData services, IDocs, and APIs for integrations between SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Support performance tuning and troubleshooting of custom ABAP programs.
- Stay updated on SAP development technologies and best practices to improve system performance and efficiency.
