About The Position

As part of GE Vernova Wind Engineering, the Blade subsystem team has responsibility for the design and support of wind blade components and systems. In this role on the Blade Integration & Management team you will work with experts in composite wind blade design, as well as support cross-functional teams in manufacturing and fleet support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in energy, aerospace, or automotive industries.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional project teams; owning project schedule, resource planning, budget, and execution following GEV Wind Engineering procedures.
  • Alignment with cross-functional Functional Managers to ensure agreement on prioritization of activities and critical deliverable dates.
  • Ensures that multi-functional projects integrate properly within the product/program.
  • Optimize team performance across the program value chain, functionally and technically.
  • Ability to proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies to maximize team efficiency and avoid gaps/delays in mid to long-term execution.
  • Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward.
  • Connects planning and cross-functional impacts of product NPI, Installed Base, Obsolescence and End-of Life.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement across internal organization and broader Wind engineering team.
  • Shares best practices and documents standard work procedures.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Acts as a mentor for colleagues with less experience.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with moderate risks and uncertainties.
  • Ability to communicate clear projects plans and risk to Senior Engineering Leadership.
