About The Position

LG Energy Solution (LGES) develops and manufactures large lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. Summary: As a Sr. Engineer, Mechanical/Electrical, you will support mechanical and electrical construction activities for manufacturing and facility projects. This position is responsible for coordinating the installation, inspection, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems across multiple facility construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field required
  • Bilingual (Korean/English) required
  • Willing to travel 40% domestically and internationally, and to relocate based on project
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering design, construction, and maintenance of industrial facilities
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience working in a global company or corporation
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate global time zones
  • MS Office Suite
  • CAD and 3D BIM proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Time management

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical and electrical construction and installation activities for manufacturing facilities.
  • Plan and execute engineering studies related to the design, construction, and commissioning of facilities and systems.
  • Analyze feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors, utilizing professional engineering theory and practices.
  • Perform as a project manager and provide leadership on assigned projects.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.
  • Design and specify equipment and system components.
  • Support advanced troubleshooting and develop design solutions.
  • Mentor and train other engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
