About The Position

As a Senior Engineer in Compute Services, you will build fault-tolerant and reliable infrastructure supporting CoreWeave’s internal processes and customer platform. The role focuses on automating Kubernetes infrastructure and operations, including provisioning bare-metal control planes, maintaining running clusters, improving resilience, and validating quality and stability through automated testing. You will use Python, Golang, and Bash to build tooling and operators, work with the Grafana ecosystem to improve reliability, and participate in an on-call rotation every two months as a point of contact.

Requirements

• Proven experience provisioning Kubernetes using tools such as kubeadm, Cluster API, Kubeception, Kubespray, or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex Kubernetes cluster issues and carry out upgrades.
• Proficiency in Golang, Bash, and Python.
• Advanced Linux operating system troubleshooting skills.
• Extensive experience with Ansible.
• Advanced DevOps experience, such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively on shared codebases.
• Excellent documentation skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation to support production services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tooling to provision Kubernetes control planes on bare metal.
• Create tooling and Go operators using Python, Golang, and Bash.
• Perform day-two lifecycle tasks and maintenance on running clusters.
• Identify gaps and implement fault-tolerant architectures.
• Optimize reliability using the Grafana ecosystem.
• Design automated tests to validate build quality and stability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation every two months, serving as a point of contact.
