About The Position

Fusion HCR is seeking a Senior Engineer – IT to work with cross-functional teams on business value-driven projects, leading application development and integration solutions for a premier gaming and hospitality organization. This role involves technical analysis, design, documentation, software development, and mentoring of others, with a strong focus on secure, reliable systems implementation.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license required by law or policy
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum 4 years of experience performing in all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Minimum 4 years of experience implementing information systems using Java/Microsoft technologies and frameworks such as SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, and ASP.NET Web API
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Object-Oriented Design and standard design patterns
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industry-standard systems analysis techniques, including data modeling, process modeling, data flow diagramming, UML, business process reengineering (BPR), and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)
  • Experience in test-driven development
  • Experience in data manipulation languages — performing CRUD operations via stored procedures, queries, and triggers
  • Experience in data normalization, referential integrity, and indexing
  • Experience with Version Management tools such as GIT, SVN, VSS, or TFS
  • Experience with DevOps orchestration tools such as JIRA, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of key ITIL processes — Continuous Improvement, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Request Management
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift or carry 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks
  • Ability to physically access all areas of the property and drive areas, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers/contacts
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts
  • Ability for prolonged periods of walking, standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in following effective processes, policies, and continuous development of team capability
  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, following efficient and secure procedures for systems software development
  • Develop, test, install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve a variety of technological challenges
  • Participate in project management including sizing, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications; collaborate with the IT Architecture team to design holistic IT solutions
  • Lead other development team members in performing pros and cons analysis of best practices, technology platforms, and tools
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate troubleshooting, solution implementation, and validation to resolve software defects and technical issues
  • Work with inter-disciplinary teams to ensure secure, reliable system implementations and upgrades are performed within defined project parameters
  • Work cross-functionally with IT peers and business partners
  • Adhere to SDLC and project governance, internal and regulatory (Sarbanes Oxley & Casino Regulatory Authority) guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Create and maintain applicable system documentation
  • Mentor other IT Engineers and cross-train/share business and technology-related knowledge
  • Communicate complex information to a non-technical audience
  • Prioritize work in alignment with business needs
