About The Position

Configure, manage, and maintain Microchip’s global virtual environment, which is based on VMware, Proxmox, and Nutanix. This includes physical server installation, configuration, patch management, and security hardening. Manage the Aria Automation deployment, help create cloud templates, and extend the service to AWS, Azure, and GCP. Manage the Aria Operations deployment and use its capabilities for rightsizing, planning, and troubleshooting. Work with infrastructure teams to solve problems, and collaborate on a global team while supporting and training the Level 2 team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
7.5–9 years of experience.
Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation, and Proxmox.
Good knowledge of VMware Aria Automation and Operations.
Good knowledge of Lenovo, HPE, and Dell hardware.
Good working knowledge of a wide variety of operating systems.
Ability to work as part of a global team and remotely support the global virtualization footprint.
Good team-player skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Nutanix.
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containers.
Knowledge of various storage systems and technologies.

Responsibilities
