About The Position

Microchip Technology is seeking a qualified, motivated, and creative Senior Engineer I-Test (Parametric) to join its Yield Engineering team at the company’s Oregon campus in Gresham, Oregon. The role involves wafer-level measurement and analysis of semiconductor devices for parametric, functional, and reliability purposes, as well as developing and validating test structures. The position is safety-sensitive and involves the physical activities and workplace hazards described in the posting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• 5–7.5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge of circuit schematic design and analysis.
• Experience or education in data analysis and data visualization.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of data plotting tools such as JMP and R.
• Experience or education with LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate wafer-level measurements of semiconductor devices for parametric, functional, and reliability purposes.
• Process and analyze device characterization data.
• Perform detailed statistical analysis on parametric, functional, and reliability data.
• Lay out, validate, and test test structures.
• Generate parametric summaries and yield and reliability reports.
