Senior Engineer I, Electrical Engineering

Kulicke & Soffa•Fort Washington, PA

About The Position

The Senior Engineer I, Electrical Engineering designs, develops, integrates, and debugs electrical systems for industrial semiconductor equipment. The role includes creating complex analog and digital circuits and subsystems using microcontrollers and FPGAs; producing schematics, PCB layouts, and interface architectures; and performing circuit simulation, validation, debugging, and root-cause analysis. The position develops high-speed digital interfaces using EtherCAT, TCP/IP, USB, I2C, and SPI, as well as embedded firmware and real-time control systems for microcontrollers and DSPs. It also supports system bring-up, troubleshooting, and optimization. Additional work includes creating equipment-module wiring diagrams, identifying cables, sizing cable harnesses, creating bills of materials, and using Teamcenter to release products and manage engineering changes. The engineer collaborates with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and develop technically sound, cost-effective electrical designs.
