You are a licensed Qualified Professional Engineer with hands-on expertise in Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) regulations and the confidence to apply them to complex environmental challenges and real-world engineering solutions. You take ownership of your work, and you are comfortable with certifying designs, data, and compliance decisions. You bring a high level of accountability, attention to detail, and technical judgment. You’re a collaborative leader who can guide teams, mentor developing engineers, and communicate effectively with clients and regulators, all while managing competing priorities. You thrive in complex environments where problem-solving, regulatory insight, communication, and practical execution are equally important. You are motivated by seeing projects through to successful, compliant outcomes. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead project teams to develop and implement remediation strategies, assisting with permitting and redevelopment of contaminated properties and performing final reviews on work products. This specific job function must have a command of the Federal CCR regulations with the ability to translate those regulations to the applicable state program where the CCR exists. The Senior Engineer may also lead teams to design and implement pollution control systems related to soil, groundwater, air, wastewater, landfills, and hazardous waste cleanup. Other duties include scoping projects, writing proposals, preparing budgets, client relationship management, and presenting technical papers. Leading a diverse team of field personnel, technical experts, and Project Managers, you will create a teamwork environment and drive project success. This role requires an advanced understanding of multimedia investigation and remediation activities, regulatory framework, and risk management necessary to guide projects to closure. This position works under the supervision and direction of the designated Principal.
