About The Position

The Customer Service Associate joins the team to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role involves assisting customers with questions and recommendations, processing sales at an assigned cash register, protecting cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving merchandise, and helping unload trucks. The associate replenishes stock according to productivity standards and helps maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. The position is also responsible for keeping the store clean and presentable, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and tidying all areas. Other duties may be assigned. The job description may be amended as business needs evolve; employment is at-will.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet physical demands involving frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
