About The Position

Pathstream is seeking a Senior Engagement Marketing Manager to own learner engagement and retention strategy. This role involves quickly ramping up on B2B2C audiences and managing user communications to increase engagement and revenue opportunities through program enrollment and completion. The position reports to the Head of Product and Lifecycle Marketing and is a full-time, exempt role. Pathstream is a mission-driven team of approximately 60 employees focused on reshaping how frontline employees and managers excel in their careers through enterprise partnerships. The company aims to improve productivity, increase retention, and enhance customer experience while fostering employee growth. The Senior Engagement Marketing Manager will work closely with Lifecycle and Customer Success teams to strategize, design, implement, and optimize personalized campaigns across email, SMS, and similar channels. This role requires collaboration with Marketing peers, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate data tracking, build personalized segmentation and content, and incorporate product-led growth strategies. Collaboration with the Customer Success team and corporate clients is also key to tailor campaigns. This role combines creative problem-solving, technical expertise, and analytical thinking to deliver measurable outcomes and meaningful engagement.

Requirements

  • Drive Learner Activation and Engagement: Design and execute marketing strategies to introduce learners to Pathstream, enroll in programs, increase engagement, and drive program completion.
  • Develop behavioral campaigns using platform data to deliver personalized, data-driven messaging at scale.
  • Tailor Campaigns for Corporate Clients: Align lifecycle strategies with client business objectives and employee needs.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify and execute awareness campaigns across internal partner channels.
  • Drive results that align with the desired business impact for Pathstream partners and inspire program growth.
  • Collaborate on Product-Led Growth: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure proper data tracking, integrate lifecycle campaigns with existing and new product features, and identify opportunities to improve the customer journey.
  • Build growth opportunities that seamlessly enhance engagement and retention across individualized user journeys.
  • Optimize Campaigns: Analyze performance metrics with tools such as Hex, Amplitude, and FullStory to uncover insights, refine lifecycle strategies, and help employees make the most of their Pathstream experience.
  • Run tests and experiments to establish performance baselines and improve timing, messaging, and channel optimization to maximize engagement.
  • Refine Messaging: Work closely with our Content and Design team to create compelling, purposeful content that speaks to learners' motivations and challenges.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with Pathstream's mission and goals across your client portfolio.
  • Scale Engagement Efforts: Develop scalable systems and processes to support learner engagement while maintaining personalization and quality.
  • Contribute to product experiments and bring actionable insights to broader marketing strategies.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and geographic location: Zone 1 (NYC and SF Bay Area): $131,000-$160,000, Zone 2: $118,000-$145,000, Zone 3: $105,000-$128,000
