About The Position

Sia Partners is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to lead strategic consulting engagements focused on banking transformation and cash management within the Financial Services Industry (FSI). This role involves driving business changes for clients, adapting business models, and optimizing operating models. The Financial Services practice operates globally, with integrated teams collaborating across different countries. The Strategy & Management Consulting unit guides clients in strategy, business transformation, and IT & digital strategy. The Financial Services Business Unit partners with various financial institutions to support business strategy design and the execution of transformation and regulatory initiatives, emphasizing holistic solutions and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex consulting or transformation engagements with measurable outcomes.
  • Proven management consulting experience in strategy, transformation, operating model, program delivery, or change management.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-stakeholder programs in complex organizations, including executive governance and risk management.
  • Strong project and change management capabilities, including readiness, adoption, communications, and implementation planning.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders to a common objective.
  • Excellent facilitation and executive communication skills, including development of C-level presentations and decision materials.
  • Ability to build trusted, value-based relationships quickly across all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and/or the United States is preferred based on assignment needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years in banking, payments, transaction banking, or cash management operations and transformation.
  • Priority leadership role in customer migration, onboarding, account transition programs at scale, and/or cross-border transactions.
  • Experience with cohort or wave-based delivery models and playbook-based execution.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an asset.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prosci, Agile, CTP, or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic consulting engagements from mobilization through delivery and closure, with accountability for outcomes, timelines, and quality.
  • Build customized project roadmaps based on client context and implement governance and change activities across each phase.
  • Provide clear status reporting on progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and overall program health for executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure key initiatives deliver against business, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Lead multidisciplinary Sia teams and provide day-to-day coaching, actionable feedback, and career development support.
  • Build trust-based relationships with client stakeholders across frontline to executive levels.
  • Facilitate complex working sessions and steer cross-functional teams toward shared decisions and outcomes.
  • Contribute to high-quality, decision-ready deliverables and executive-level presentations.
  • Apply project and change management frameworks to drive adoption, readiness, and sustainable implementation results.
  • Lead impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders and intervention plans.
  • Define and track metrics that reinforce desired behaviors, measure progress, and improve implementation performance.
  • Coordinate with adjacent initiatives to align timelines, dependencies, and delivery assumptions.
  • Lead wave planning and capacity calibration sessions for migration, onboarding, or transition programs.
  • Provide risk-based input on customer-specific sequencing, complexity constraints, and readiness dependencies.
  • Drive playbook iteration between cohorts by capturing escalation themes, objection patterns, and process failure modes.
  • Feed findings into documentation quality checklists, runbook updates, and operating model refinements.
  • Identify opportunities to create additional client value and support proposal development and pursuit activity.
  • Contribute to business development activities and go-to-market initiatives in Financial Services (Capital Markets/CIB - Commercial and Investment Banking).
  • Help shape reusable assets, methodologies, and credentials based on delivery experience.
  • Contribute to internal priorities including recruiting, marketing, culture, and practice-building initiatives.
