Wake County General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to provide professional guidance and leadership in energy management, and to improve and maintain a variety of facilities. This role involves analyzing and presenting data, making repairs and improvements in energy efficiency across the building portfolio, and serving as a Project Manager for energy projects. GSA's portfolio includes nearly 200 buildings, totaling over 5 million square feet, ranging from new construction to historic high-rises. The facilities include courthouses, EMS stations, libraries, health centers, and detention centers. The position is responsible for specializing in Mechanical & Electrical projects such as HVAC controls, LED Lighting, retro commissioning, and solar PV and EV charging projects. This role assists in energy analysis and long-term planning for the entire building portfolio to reduce utility and operating costs and support County strategic goals. The Senior Energy Engineer will also be responsible for energy management of Wake County facilities, serve as staff to the Wake County Energy Advisory Commission along with the Physical Plant Director, and work closely with Facilities Design & Construction to ensure sustainable and maintainable building practices.
