Overview Managing multiple concurrent operational/infrastructure/vendor-led projects. Gathering requirements from operations, engineering, facilities, network, security, etc. Translating needs into documented scopes and technical requirements. Coordinating with Design Manager (reviews, constructability, operational impact). Coordinating with Deployment Manager (commissioning, turnover, operational readiness). Sole-source vendor management (scope, pricing reviews, change management, performance tracking). Project documentation (scopes, minutes, action logs, risk registers, schedules). Supporting procurement and stakeholder sign-offs across the full lifecycle. Continuous improvement and standardization of Special Projects processes. Will provide onsite program management to vendor of the transition of all VRLA batteries to LFP (Lithium ION) for APC UPS MW UPS refers to the APC Symmetra MW (Megawatt) series of large-scale uninterruptible power supplies made by APC (now part of Schneider Electric

Requirements

  • 5+ years in the field or related area, with 3+ years in data center operations with a management emphasis preferred.
  • Explicit preferences for advanced knowledge of liquid/air-cooled mechanical systems and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with replacing existing VRLA Battery Systems to Lithium (LFP) at various Data Cetner locations for their APC Symmetra UPS systems.
  • Familiar with Large Three Phase UPS and Battery Systems including VRLA and Lithium ION. (LFP).
  • Oil/Gas and Industrial will be considered.
  • Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Intermediate knowledge of Procore software.
  • Knowledge of CAD or CAD 3-D is desired.
