About The Position

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the San Jose site as a End to End Technical Project Manager (Hardware). Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication. In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets. Comet’s projects require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Project Manager at Comet, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle, from research to development to introduction and to production launch.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience handling inception to mass production customer-facing hardware, firmware, and/or software product development preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office Tools
  • Mastery of the Atlassian platform (Jira and Confluence) highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage hardware development project schedules, budgets and resources with engineering teams and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal partners on product development schedules, dependencies and budgets.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Interface between customers, product engineering and NPI cross functional teams, setting and managing schedules, budgets and milestones.
  • Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels.
