Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Systems Team

Riverlane•Boston, MA
•$145,000 - $205,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Riverlane is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for its Systems Team to bridge the gap between Riverlane and its customers. The role serves as a primary technical interface for customer engineers, guiding them through product integration and troubleshooting complex quantum systems. The engineer will configure Riverlane’s Deltaflow hardware to connect to quantum computers and develop the software stack that enables low-latency, high-throughput, predictable system operation. The work supports customer quantum experiments, implementation of Riverlane’s quantum error correction algorithms, and debugging issues across integrated systems. The role works closely with Riverlane’s Quantum Application Team, QA team, and Product Team. This is a hybrid, full-time, permanent position based in Boston, Massachusetts. Riverlane describes its mission as advancing quantum error correction to enable fault-tolerant quantum computing. The Systems Team works in a cross-disciplinary environment with mathematicians, physicists, and engineers.
