About The Position

The Senior Email Operations Coordinator oversees the execution, quality assurance, and deployment of email campaigns, serving as the operational bridge between analytics and marketing to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Embedded within the Analytics team but closely partnered with Marketing, this role leverages expertise across platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), SQL, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration
  • Possess at least 2-3 years of experience with email marketing (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other)
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, domain health, and spam compliance to ensure optimal inbox placement and performance
  • Proficiency in HTML for building and optimizing responsive email templates, with working knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation and campaign targeting
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on QA and error prevention
  • Experience with email marketing best practices and campaign execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable plans
  • Experience problem solving; identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing solution
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Tableau or other reporting tools is a plus
  • Experience with ticketing or CRM systems
  • Familiar with A/B testing to effectively refine and optimize marketing strategies

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, scheduling, testing, and deployment of email campaigns in SFMC
  • Own email QA to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Serve as the operational liaison between Analytics and Marketing teams
  • Translate campaign requirements into technical execution
  • Manage campaign timelines and ensure on time delivery
  • Monitor sends and troubleshoot issues related to deployment or performance
  • Maintain documentation of processes, workflows, and best practices
  • Partner with Marketing to support email reporting and audience segmentation
  • Work in conjunction with marketing and analytics to build marketing journeys and automations in SFMC
  • Support building and uploading of email lists at direction of marketing team
  • Provide targeting recommendations for email marketing campaigns based on data attributions to support marketing goals
