About The Position

Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Manufacturing Team, which rapidly iterates and builds defense hardware. The role spans the manufacturing value chain, including design for manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and production documentation for assigned hardware. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will drive process improvements, ensure production quality, and support new-product development and implementation. The position focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency for existing technologies, while developing new products and scaling them to full production. It includes ownership of manufacturing activities for electro-mechanical assemblies, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T), and hands-on collaboration with technicians, engineers, design teams, quality engineering, and contract manufacturers.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electro-mechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Personal, hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware through methods such as machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly.
  • Experience with RF products requiring system Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in a technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, or a hard science.
  • Prior experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), Oracle (ERP), or equivalent tools.
  • Personal or extracurricular projects involving hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Own some or all of the manufacturing value chain for electro-mechanical assemblies, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T).
  • Contribute to operational excellence through continuous improvement and lead impactful Kaizen events.
  • Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support root-cause and corrective-action (RCCA) burndowns for key issues within and outside EW Production.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering teams throughout development to provide design-for-excellence (DFx) input and support smooth new-product-introduction (NPI) transitions.
  • Develop process flows that divide complex assemblies into logical part flows, subassemblies, and subprocesses.
  • Create manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
  • Work with contract manufacturers across disciplines such as PCBA fabrication, metallic manufacturing, and assembly to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production.
  • Work hands-on with technicians and other engineers to build prototype hardware.
  • Contribute to the mechanical or electrical design of end-customer hardware, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as comprehensive and competitive and available at little to no cost to employees.
