About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating team on multi-million dollar projects. This role involves partnering with project managers, sales, and estimating departments, utilizing tools like Excel, AccuBid, and Word. The ideal candidate will build trust with clients and ensure the accuracy and quality of our bids.

Requirements

• 10+ years in electrical contracting or construction
• 8+ years in electrical estimating
• Team player who works well across departments and with partners
• Steady under tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plus working knowledge of other trades
• Applies the National Electrical Code, building codes, and OSHA rules
• Active in industry and client relationships
• Strong conceptual estimating skills
• Spots process gaps and leads change that sticks
• Detail focused, concise, and organized
• Microsoft Office and AccuBid proficient
• Visits job sites and partners with field teams
• Knows the local market and key general contractors

Nice To Haves

• BS in engineering or construction management preferred, not required
• Expert in electrical estimating with solid value engineering instincts

Responsibilities

• Lead takeoffs, build estimates, and write proposals for mid to large projects
• Run bid reviews with leadership, hit deadlines, and keep quality high
• Verify plans, specs, and scopes are fully covered
• Work with PMs, clients, vendors, and field leaders to solve issues
• Own estimate accuracy and provide daily guidance for the department
• Provide conceptual budgets using historical data and simple ratios
• Spot risks and drive smart bid strategy and pricing
• Build strong ties with GCs, clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Track material costs, labor trends, and market data, then use it in estimates
• Keep information flowing so estimates are current and clean
• Maintain and improve the estimating database
• Meet with GCs and join bid interviews
• Report on department KPIs and share insights
• Write scope letters and support proposal prep
