About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in the design, development, and sustainment of complex electrical test systems for aerospace and defense applications. This position requires hands-on experience with Test Program Set (TPS) development, data acquisition system design, electrical hardware engineering, and DoD test equipment lifecycle support. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of leading multi-service engineering programs supporting the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marine Corps. If you excel in solving complex test engineering challenges, collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and developing mission-critical hardware and software solutions, this role is for you. The Senior Electrical Engineer will support several contracts and projects for PCI Aviation and will be 100% on-site. This position will report to the Vice President of Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (ABET-accredited).
  • 20+ years of electrical engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or automated test systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency with: NI LabVIEW, NI CVI, NI TestStand
  • Expert-level proficiency with: MATLAB, Python, C++
  • Expert-level proficiency with: Data acquisition systems and automated testing architectures
  • Demonstrated experience designing and validating test systems for: Aircraft propulsion systems
  • Demonstrated experience designing and validating test systems for: Engine controller circuit cards
  • Demonstrated experience designing and validating test systems for: Missile subsystem support equipment
  • Demonstrated experience designing and validating test systems for: Combat vehicle electronics
  • Strong background in electrical design tools: PCB123, ExpressPCB, OrCAD
  • Strong background in electrical design tools: AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks (2D)
  • Proven ability to analyze schematics, hardware breakdown structures, LRUs, and indenture levels for logistics and sustainment planning.

  • Hands-on experience with: Jet Engine Test Instrumentation (JETI) systems
  • Hands-on experience with: F-15, F-35 (JSF), and NAVAIR propulsion test equipment
  • Hands-on experience with: ICBM support test systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical hardware and software for advanced military test systems, including motor consoles, propulsion test systems, and specialized test stations.
  • Develop data acquisition systems, calibration procedures, automated test programs, and report-generation software for DoD platforms.
  • Create, integrate, and validate Test Program Sets (TPS) for aircraft, engine components, and electronic assemblies using NI CVI, NI LabVIEW, and NI TestStand environments.
  • Design cables, circuit card assemblies, and interface hardware for aerospace test stations.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures, requirements traceability matrices, calibration steps, and maintenance manuals.
  • Support engineering change control processes, configuration management, and contractual compliance across government programs.
  • Produce logistics and sustainment analyses such as Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), MTBF assessments, provisioning, and lifecycle planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and maintenance IPTs to plan supportability, updates, and long-term sustainment activities.
