About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team in Orlando, Florida. The role contributes to the detailed design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems and assemblies for broader aerospace systems. The engineer provides technical expertise throughout design and development and helps ensure high-quality electrical designs are delivered successfully. Coleman Aerospace at this location produces complex single-, two-, and three-stage launch vehicles used to support ballistic missile defense testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of prior relevant electrical, systems, and test engineering experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of prior related experience.
• Strong knowledge of the job area.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Xpedition Designer and PADS, and simulation software such as PSPICE.
• Basic understanding of systems engineering principles and their application to electrical system design and integration.
• Experience supporting the execution of complex technical projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the detailed design, development, integration, and testing of electrical systems.
• Provide technical expertise and contribute to problem-solving throughout the design and development process.
• Support project schedule planning and execution to help complete tasks and milestones on time.
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure electrical systems integrate and remain compatible with other subsystems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to achieve project objectives.
