At Collins Aerospace, our Multi-Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) organization is a growing and looking for an Senior Electrical Engineer to support development and factory transition of state-of-the-art navigation products for the Government marketplace. The ideal candidate shall have a well-rounded background; one that has demonstrated experience or training in multiple aspects of electrical engineering such as RF, digital, FPGA, and analog design. This is an individual contributor role in which the engineer is part of a cohesive team of engineers responsible for developing key subsystems for the PNT product lines.
Requirements
- Experience in GPS receiver design
- Digital design background with STE development and I&T experience
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities
- Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met
- Troubleshoot electrical devices problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently
- Resolve day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption
- Participate in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Complete drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process
- Confer with engineers, customers, vendors and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects or products
- Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components
- Participate in digital and/or STE design and requirements reviews
