Requirements

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in electrical design tools including Visio, AutoCAD, Capital Harness and Catia.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience with aircraft and/or other technical system integration.
  • Experience with design and development processes with practical experience in multiple phases of the HW lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration, validation/verification, and sustainment.
  • Experience working with manufacturing teams, vendors, and other suppliers to build cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience with Systems integration.
  • Experience with Electrical Wiring Integration Systems (EWIS) standard.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
  • Integrate electrical components and wiring into design while meeting vendor and OEM requirements.
  • Verify system configuration and block diagram.
  • Operate in a team environment with other functional areas providing input to design solutions and participate in design reviews.
  • Oversee Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, Harness assembly drawing, Circuit Breakers, and Electrical Loads Analysis.
  • Coordinate Aircraft electrical mission equipment installations.
  • Identify, document, and communicate significant design and integration risks for timely review and resolution.
  • Monitoring and reporting of aircraft installation design milestones and reporting status to project/program management.
  • Be self-directed, able to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives with minimal oversight.
