About The Position

Shell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team in Woodcreek, Houston, Texas. The role reports to the Global Engineering Manager and is part of the central multidisciplinary engineering team supporting Shell Renewables Asset Management International’s global asset base. It provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise for electrical systems across gas-fired generation, renewable energy assets, substations, switchgear, protection and control systems, grid interconnections, and high-voltage infrastructure. The successful candidate provides lifecycle engineering support, technical assurance, and reliability leadership across the portfolio. The position also supports acquisition due diligence, project integration, contractor management, compliance assurance, and strategic improvement initiatives. Because operations and maintenance are substantially delivered by third parties, experience in contractor management and technical governance is important. SRAMI supports a global portfolio of more than 2 GW of assets, including gas-fired generation, onshore wind, solar, battery energy storage systems, and associated transmission and distribution infrastructure. The role requires domestic and international travel of up to 10% of the time. Shell describes flexible working hours and the possibility of remote or mobile working. The position is a regular role, and the posting specifies authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis for an employer other than the candidate’s current employer.
