Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Senior Electrical Designer 1 for its Nuclear Power Group. This hybrid position combines office and remote work. The designer will prepare design drawings from design input as part of a multidisciplinary team and use computer-aided drafting skills, with hands-on training in 3D design software environments. The work may include creating scaled master sketches showing proposed installations in relation to existing facilities, including specifications and dimensions; assisting experienced designers during client-facility walkdowns to gather project information; and explaining drawings to vendors and construction contractors so that appropriate design adjustments can be made. The Nuclear Power Group works on nuclear engineering, design, and licensing, including small modular reactors, advanced reactor technology, reactor restart projects, life extensions and digital modernization of existing plants, coal-to-nuclear conversion initiatives, and international nuclear new-build projects. The company notes that employees may use data, automation, AI, and other digital tools where relevant, with professional judgment and review expected. The stated compensation range is $77,890–$118,999. Eligible positions include a comprehensive benefits package, and employees may also be eligible for a yearly discretionary bonus. Sargent & Lundy does not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position.
