Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer

Compu Dynamics•Houston, TX
•$115,000 - $165,000

About The Position

The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer is a technical leader responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical and control systems for Compu Dynamics Modular’s data center and commercial modular products. The role provides technical expertise from concept development through manufacturing, installation, and site commissioning, contributes to product innovation and standardization, and mentors junior engineers, modular designers, and project managers. As a subject matter expert, this engineer helps maintain code compliance, improve processes, and deliver modular infrastructure solutions. The position leads electrical design and engineering work, including developing and reviewing diagrams, schematics, schedules, load lists, designs, and bills of material. It supports projects and products from bids and conceptual design through submittals, field activities, commissioning, and documentation. The engineer also collaborates with clients, contractors, internal teams, and vendors; maintains design standards; and contributes to technical reviews and continuous improvement. Work is primarily in an office or collaborative environment, with occasional site visits. Field work may involve active construction, elevated temperatures, and energized equipment. Site work can require walking sites, climbing ladders, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Travel of up to 15% may be required. The role is full-time and non-exempt; hours follow the service department schedule and may include occasional overtime.
