About The Position

RapidVisionPak is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and build automated packaging machinery. The engineer will own controls systems from concept through customer installation, developing packaging systems used by food manufacturers across North America. The role involves collaborating with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and customers to deliver customized equipment solutions. The position is located in Appleton, Wisconsin and requires approximately 15–20% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of Controls Engineering experience.
Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience utilizing Studio 5000.
Experience with Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
Electrical schematic and control panel design experience.
Knowledge of servo systems, motion control, VFDs, sensors, and industrial automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel approximately 15–20%.

Responsibilities

Design electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery.
Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
Develop machine software using Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
Configure servo systems, motion control, VFDs, industrial networks, and safety devices.
Integrate machine vision and advanced automation technologies.
Support machine startup, commissioning, and customer installations.
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and customers to deliver equipment solutions.
