About The Position

The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer is a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and control systems for Compu Dynamics Modular’s data center and commercial modular products. The role contributes throughout the product lifecycle, from early concept development through manufacturing, installation, and site commissioning. It also supports product innovation and standardization, maintains code compliance, improves processes, and delivers modular infrastructure solutions. The engineer serves as a subject matter expert and mentors junior engineers, modular designers, and project managers. The position leads electrical and controls design, including preparation and review of technical drawings and documents, equipment selection, load calculations, and code analysis. It supports bids and conceptual design, cost estimation, proposals, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, field troubleshooting, commissioning, and installation and maintenance documentation. The role also coordinates with clients, contractors, internal teams, vendors, and manufacturer representatives, and develops internal standards, tools, and templates. The role may mentor or oversee work by junior engineers or modular designers but has no formal direct reports. Work is primarily in an office or collaborative environment, with occasional site visits that may involve active construction, elevated temperatures, or energized equipment. The position may require up to 15% travel for site walks, commissioning support, or vendor meetings. Work hours follow the service department schedule and may include occasional overtime.
