Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of progressive Environmental Health and Safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting audits and risk assessments, and leading incident investigations, including implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, and applicable regulations to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, manage competing priorities, and proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment (preferred).
Experience implementing and auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems (preferred).
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH), Environmental Professional (EP), or an equivalent EHS designation (preferred).
Current certification or formal training in relevant EHS disciplines such as Process Safety Management (PSM), Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid/CPR, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification, or related programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, procedures, and management systems.
Conduct hazard assessments, risk evaluations, and workplace inspections to identify opportunities for risk reduction and continuous improvement.
Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 management systems and related initiatives.
Partner with operational teams to promote a proactive safety culture and integrate EHS best practices into daily operations.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal environmental, health, and safety legislation, as well as Kenvue Standards.
Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to programs, procedures, and training to maintain compliance.
Plan and conduct internal EHS audits, inspections, and compliance assessments to self-identify gaps, including development, implementation, and monitoring of mitigation actions.
Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and corporate EHS assessments.
Lead the investigation of workplace incidents, injuries, good saves, and environmental events to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Monitor incident trends and performance metrics to identify risks and recommend improvement initiatives.
Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including response planning, drills, and post-event reviews.
Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reports in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to employees, supervisors, and leaders.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Joint Health and Safety Committees, and leadership to drive engagement and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present EHS performance reports, compliance updates, and recommendations to management.
