About The Position

The Senior Education Manager is a strategic operational leader responsible for owning all education and certification operations across Life Time’s Class Collection portfolio. This role manages the master certification calendar, coordinates the deployment and ongoing support of the Brand Specialist team across all Life Time locations. This position is highly cross-functional, partnering with Branding, Marketing, Operations, and Field leadership to deliver consistent certification quality, operational efficiency, and a clear development pathway from Studio Leader to Brand Specialist.

Requirements

  • Proven operational and program management experience including calendars, deployment logistics, and multi-stakeholder coordination across geographies
  • Direct people management experience, ideally with hybrid teams of full-time employees and contractors
  • Comfort with platform tools including learning management systems, scheduling tools, certification tracking, and content operations
  • Brand sensibility — understands the difference between setting a brand standard and delivering one, and protects that boundary on behalf of Brand Specialists
  • Strong written communication skills for instructor-facing materials and operational documentation
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working across departments and leadership levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify operational roadblocks and develop solutions proactively
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining accountability to stakeholders
  • Ability to travel as needed, including weekend New Club Openings (NCOs) as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fitness education, certification programs, learning & development at scale, or comparable program management roles, with demonstrated people management experience
  • Current group fitness certification to teach classes at a local Life Time location

Responsibilities

  • Owns the master certification calendar across all Class Collection brands; coordinates deployment of the Brand Specialist team; manages education spend, T&E, and vendor coordination; runs certification tracking, reporting, and instructor follow-up systems across the network.
  • Provides ongoing operational support to the Brand Specialist team to remove operational workload and protect their focus on brand ownership; owns LT Classes Hub / Mighty Networks platform health and content operations; partners with Specialists on annual brand-tier reviews and coverage decisions.
  • Recruits, onboards, and manages the Brand Specialist team across active brands; sources Specialists meaningfully from the Studio Leader population to build the Studio Leader to Brand Specialist development pathway; holds Specialists accountable to brand standards and certification quality.
  • Coordinates New Club Opening brand certification in support with the NCO Manager, deploying Brand Specialists as needed; partners with Branding, Marketing, Operations, and Creative on certification rollouts, brand launches, and Class Collection refreshes; surfaces field insights to inform brand strategy.
