About The Position
The Senior Distinguished I, Software Engineer, Information Security, leads the design and implementation of scalable, secure software architectures aligned with business objectives. About the team: The team leads critical security initiatives focused on AI security and safety, conducting thorough implementation reviews and setting technical direction. It develops components that enhance Walmart’s AI security posture by leveraging expertise in development, security technologies, and analytics. Collaboration fosters innovation in automation and cyber engineering, ensuring secure and efficient operations. By integrating advanced security practices and data-driven insights, the team continuously strengthens system infrastructure and performance, supporting Walmart’s commitment to maintaining reliable and protected information systems across its technology environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software architecture, solution design, and scalable distributed systems.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity systems, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and application security.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in threat modeling, security controls, and enterprise security frameworks.
- Ability to analyze and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of coding standards, testing methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Experience with DevOps tools, telemetry, and automation to enhance software quality and security.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
