The Senior Director, Value and Access will serve as a strategic leader within Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, driving payer value communication, access strategy, and innovation across the U.S. payer landscape for therapies in Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Steatohepatitis (MASH). This role integrates traditional payer marketing responsibilities with forward-looking horizon scanning and payer innovation to ensure both near-term access success and long-term market leadership. The Senior Director is accountable for developing and executing strategic value communication platforms that clearly articulate the differentiated value of Rezdiffra to Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers. This includes the creation of tailored tools and resources—payer value decks, cost-impact claims, objection handlers, and training programs—that empower field teams (NADs, RADs, KADs) to effectively communicate Madrigal's clinical and economic value story. Simultaneously, the role is responsible for proactively identifying, evaluating, and responding to emerging payer trends, competitive threats (e.g., GLP-1s, FGF21s, etc.), evolving value frameworks, and innovative reimbursement models. The Senior Director will lead initiatives to develop and pilot value-based agreements and risk-sharing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Through integration of payer marketing excellence and strategic foresight, the Senior Director will ensure Madrigal maintains its first-mover advantage in MASH while preparing the organization for future payer dynamics. This position plays a critical role in shaping both current access execution and future access innovation, in alignment with brand, HEOR, and policy teams.
