About The Position

The Senior Director, Talent Marketing will serve as a senior specialist and growth driver responsible for building and scaling Jack 39’s talent marketing capability. This role is designed for an experienced talent marketing professional who understands both the creative and commercial dimensions of talent partnerships—from identifying the right talent fit to negotiating complex agreements and activating programs that drive measurable brand and business outcomes. This individual will operate at the intersection of brand strategy, talent relationships, and commercial negotiation—helping clients integrate talent into their marketing and media mix in a way that enhances relevance, credibility, and performance. They will also play a critical role in positioning talent marketing as a differentiated revenue-generating capability for Jack Morton and Jack 39. This leader will be responsible for both delivery and growth—supporting client engagements while actively developing new opportunities to expand talent-related services across the agency network.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in talent marketing, talent procurement, endorsements, or talent partnerships (agency, brand, management, or representation side).
  • Demonstrated expertise negotiating talent agreements, including SAG-AFTRA, licensing, usage rights, and endorsement structures.
  • Strong understanding of brand marketing and how talent can enhance campaign effectiveness and media performance.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful talent-driven programs.
  • Established relationships across major talent representation firms and industry networks.
  • Experience collaborating with brand, creative, legal, and production teams.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of talent strategies that align with brand positioning, campaign objectives, and media investment priorities.
  • Advise clients on the role talent can play across the marketing funnel—from awareness and cultural relevance to conversion and loyalty.
  • Identify and recommend talent opportunities across athletes, entertainers, creators, and emerging cultural figures.
  • Partner with brand, creative, and cross-agency teams to integrate talent into campaigns, sponsorship activations, events and other content programs.
  • Develop talent activation frameworks that maximize earned media value, audience engagement, and brand impact.
  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of talent across sports, entertainment, and culture.
  • Negotiate complex talent agreements, including endorsement deals, appearance agreements, licensing rights, and usage terms.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in talent contracting frameworks, including SAG-AFTRA requirements, union rules, licensing structures, exclusivity provisions, and intellectual property considerations.
  • Ensure talent agreements align with brand objectives, risk management standards, and budget parameters.
  • Maintain best-in-class procurement processes and documentation standards.
  • Help build and scale talent marketing as a distinct capability and revenue stream for Jack 39 and Jack Morton.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities involving talent-led campaigns, partnerships, and content programs.
  • Support pitch development and credentialing that highlight talent expertise as a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with business development and client leaders to identify opportunities to integrate talent into existing client programs.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable talent offerings, pricing models, and engagement frameworks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with major talent representation firms, agencies, managers, and talent organizations across sports, entertainment, and culture.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to talent representatives, building credibility and ensuring smooth execution of programs.
  • Represent Jack 39 and Jack Morton in the talent ecosystem, strengthening the agency’s visibility and reputation in market.
  • Stay current on talent trends, market rates, emerging creators, and industry dynamics.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert across client engagements involving talent strategy and procurement.
  • Provide guidance on talent valuation, fit assessment, and program design.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations across talent engagements.
  • Ensure high-quality execution and consistent client satisfaction.
