Senior Director, Systems Integration

Kastle SystemsNew York, NY

About The Position

We are looking for a senior integration leader who has built and led high-performing teams in the physical security and access control space. This is a strategic role that sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and people leadership — someone who can set the long-term vision, develop the team, and still engage meaningfully at the technical level when it matters. You will own the integration strategy that connects physical access control systems, building infrastructure, visitor management platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems across commercial campuses and critical facilities. You will drive alignment between engineering, product, operations, and security leadership — and represent this capability at the executive and customer level.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in systems integration, with 5+ years at director level or above
  • Deep expertise in physical security or access control integration ecosystems
  • Hands-on background with access control platforms: Lenel, Genetec, C·CURE, Honeywell, Brivo, Openpath or equivalents
  • Proficiency across integration protocols: REST, GraphQL, MQTT, BACnet, OSDP, ONVIF, LDAP/AD
  • Experience integrating visitor management systems with enterprise directories
  • Proven track record building and scaling technical teams in enterprise SaaS or security technology
  • Strong executive communication and customer-facing presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • PSP, CPP, or equivalent physical security certification
  • Experience with iPaaS platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato) in a security or enterprise context
  • Familiarity with FICAM, PIAM, and enterprise credential management frameworks
  • Prior P&L or budget ownership of $5M+
  • Background in real estate technology, smart buildings, or critical infrastructure
  • Experience with security analytics integration (Splunk, Snowflake, Tableau)
  • International deployment and multi-region integration experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the multi-year integration roadmap connecting physical access control systems (PACS), building management systems (BMS), and visitor management platforms into a cohesive, scalable architecture.
  • Set the technical direction for how physical security systems integrate with cloud-native platforms, middleware, and enterprise data environments.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align integration investments with organizational security strategy, risk posture, and operational priorities.
  • Lead build/buy/partner decisions across the integration ecosystem — evaluating native integrations, iPaaS approaches, and OEM partnerships.
  • Represent the team in enterprise sales cycles, RFPs, and C-level customer briefings, translating complex integration capabilities into clear business value.
  • Recruit, build, and lead a team of integration engineers, solution architects, QA specialists, and partner solutions engineers across regional hubs.
  • Create a team culture built on technical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement — establishing standards for code review, delivery frameworks, and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and develop talent at all levels, building clear career paths and investing in the growth of the team.
  • Partner with HR and recruiting to proactively scale the team in alignment with roadmap demands and customer growth.
  • Establish and hold the team accountable to KPIs covering integration reliability (SLA/SLO), time-to-integrate, incident response, and partner ecosystem growth.
  • Own integration QA, security compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and incident response processes across all connected systems.
  • Drive OEM and technology partner relationships with access control manufacturers, proptech platforms, and identity providers.
  • Manage delivery cadence, resource allocation, and cross-functional dependencies across integration engineering and product teams.
  • Bring credible, hands-on knowledge of access control platforms (Lenel, Genetec, C·CURE, Honeywell, Brivo, Openpath or equivalents) and integration protocols (REST, OSDP, ONVIF, BACnet, LDAP/AD).
  • Engage directly in architecture decisions for real-time data pipelines between physical security hardware and enterprise software layers.
  • Partner with engineering on complex customer integration blueprints, including bespoke API designs and protocol-level problem solving — not managing from a distance, but close enough to the work to ask the right questions.
  • Stay current on emerging standards, credential technologies (mobile, NFC/BLE), and platform capabilities relevant to the access control and physical security space.
