About The Position

The Senior Director, Revenue Cycle Management Finance is the senior finance leader for The US Oncology Network’s Revenue Cycle Management organization and a member of the US Oncology Network FP&A leadership team. The role leads Revenue Cycle Management FP&A, Revenue Accounting, and a newly established Balance Sheet Reconciliations function through three Director-level leaders. This leader integrates planning, revenue accounting, controllership, working capital, transformation finance, analytics, and practice support to improve financial outcomes and confidence in reported results.

Requirements

  • Degree and typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 13+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, controllership, revenue cycle, consulting, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of people leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading leaders.
  • Experience leading complex transformation, financial governance, and executive decision-support work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, forecasting, long-range outlooks, performance reporting, and executive decision support for Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Connect operational drivers to cash, expense, bad debt, and Adjusted Operating Profit outcomes and recommend actions to senior leaders.
  • Build a standing, network-wide partnership model across Operations, practices, Finance, Accounting, and Controllership.
  • Lead analysis of cash collections, accounts receivable aging, collectability, denials, bad debt, reserve exposure, and recovery performance.
  • Guide cash forecasting and scenario modeling, including aging transitions, practice impacts, and recovery plans following disruption.
  • Establish performance measures and escalation routines for working capital and revenue-cycle outcomes.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Revenue Accounting, including iReserve, contractual discount methodologies, reserve analytics, revenue recognition support, monthly close, and reporting.
  • Resolve complex revenue and reserve matters with Accounting and Controllership and strengthen assumption governance and transparency.
  • Oversee Revenue Cycle SOX controls, documentation, remediation, and audit readiness.
  • Stand up and manage a new Director-led Balance Sheet Reconciliations function to centralize and strengthen accounts receivable and cash-clearing reconciliations.
  • Define service scope, staffing, standard work, documentation, quality criteria, governance, escalation protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Drive resolution of reconciling items, aged balances, ownership gaps, and control deficiencies while expanding Controller support.
  • Lead finance support for operating-model redesign, technology modernization, billing-system transitions, automation, and AI-enabled workflow initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, value-driver models, implementation economics, and benefits tracking from concept through sustained performance.
  • Translate financial targets into executable plans and transparent outcome reporting with Operations and Technology.
  • Advance analytics, data governance, modeling, reporting, and decision-support capabilities across the Network.
  • Standardize and automate recurring analyses, improve data quality and traceability, and create scalable self-service capabilities.
  • Communicate decision-oriented insights, forward-looking risks, and required actions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop three Director-level leaders and their teams with clear accountability and succession plans.
  • Build an inclusive, high-performing organization across FP&A, accounting, controllership, analytics, and transformation.
  • Lead scenario analysis and executive support during operational disruptions, system outages, and critical enterprise issues.
