About The Position

Salesforce's CxO Marketing team focuses on marketing to C-suite technology and business buyers. This includes executive thought leadership, executive event content, an external executive advisory community, message development, and systems for executive engagement. The role involves leading a small, senior team of individual contributors as a player-coach, focusing on persona strategy, distinctive points of view, quality standards, repeatable engagement systems, and team development. The team's work currently centers on CIOs and technology executives, with expansion into CMOs. The role requires building a bench of external advisors, internal C-suite leaders, and customers to represent Salesforce's message.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in product marketing, executive-audience marketing, or corporate marketing in enterprise B2B technology.
  • Experience managing senior marketers.
  • Genuine fluency with technical executive audiences, including the ability to write, edit, and defend architecture-level narrative for CIOs and CTOs.
  • Player-coach capabilities, effective in both presenting to CxOs and line-editing content.
  • Proven experience owning marketing-sourced pipeline measures, running business-review machinery, and managing budgets.
  • Executive presence without ego, with experience prepping keynote speakers and engaging with customer executives.
  • Track record of matrixed influence and shipping through teams without direct control in a large organization.
  • Hands-on enthusiasm for AI agents and automation.
  • Strong care for people, with experience developing, protecting, and retaining senior teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the executive messaging source of truth, including messaging and positioning for CIO/CTO and CMO audiences, updated quarterly.
  • Develop differentiated points of view for executives, such as maturity models and architectural guides, and set quality standards for all executive-facing content.
  • Shape the content for executive events, including Dreamforce, World Tour, CIO summits, industry stages, and media partnerships.
  • Source and prepare speakers for executive events and synthesize learnings back into messaging.
  • Own pipeline measures tied to executive events and content, and build processes to convert executive attention into opportunity.
  • Own executive seller enablement, including persona guidance, discussion guides, and self-serve assets for C-suite meetings.
  • Lead and develop a small team of senior individual contributors through career development, coaching, and workload protection.
  • Act as the final quality check on executive-facing work and develop the team's judgment.
  • Champion the use of AI agents, automations, and dashboards within the team.
  • Broker partnerships and establish a shared way of working for executive-audience marketing across product and corporate marketing.
