SimCorpNew York, NY
$221,000 - $331,000Hybrid

About The Position

SimCorp is seeking an innovative, curious, and collaborative individual to join their team as Senior Director, Product Management for SimCorp ONE. This role is crucial for evolving SimCorp ONE from a product suite into a unified investment management platform. The Senior Director will own the platform vision, build coherence across foundational capabilities like SC1 View, the Action Center, and Neo (AI assistant), and ensure product decisions compound towards a trustworthy, high-performance platform. This is a platform leadership role, not a domain-specific one, focusing on how different product pieces fit together. The ideal candidate will manage a team of Product Managers, cross-lead within the broader Foundational Solutions area, and work at the intersection of product strategy, platform architecture, and cross-domain execution. Responsibilities include driving the SimCorp ONE product roadmap, shaping the Action Center as the platform's operational intelligence layer, leading SC1 View as the shared visibility layer, driving cross-domain alignment, and representing the platform externally to clients and internally to senior leadership. The role emphasizes AI native capabilities, a builder mindset, and senior judgment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience defining and delivering AI product strategy in a complex, cross-functional global environment.
  • Skilled in translating long-term vision into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate value proposition clearly to both internal and external stakeholders, including at client events and sales forums
  • Visionary product leader with 10+ years’ experience driving innovation within Investment Management SaaS platforms.
  • Broad understanding of front-to-back investment management processes, with expertise in investment operations, accounting, and data management.
  • Experience in collaborating with Product Development, Operations, Professional Services and Commercial functions.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing product ownership, roadmap strategies, and priority setting through organized frameworks.
  • Proficient in outcome-based planning using (OKRs / KPIs) and end-to-end product lifecycle management.
  • Highly effective in establishing and maintaining communication and relationships across various organizational tiers, including with executives and clients.
  • Skilled at navigating and influencing within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Experienced in leading strategic forums, product governance initiatives, and cross-functional workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to unify multiple domain strategies into a cohesive platform roadmap.
  • Comfortable making strategic prioritization and investment decisions across product lines and services
  • Experienced in building and governing collaborative frameworks across product and solution teams.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with tactical collaboration and decision-making.
  • Hybrid by instinct. You think like a product manager about user value and business outcomes. You think like a designer about how the solution fits the user. You think like an engineer about what is buildable and how fast. None of these is your primary identity. The fusion is.
  • AI native. You don't just use AI tools. You have internalized how to decompose problems for AI leverage, when to use which model or pattern, and how to validate AI output critically. You have a portfolio of work that was meaningfully accelerated or built with AI.
  • Builder mindset. You produce working artifacts, not memos. Your default response to a hard problem is to build a working version of the answer, not to write about it.
  • Senior judgement. You know when 60% is enough to unblock a decision and when 95% is required. You know which problems benefit from AI acceleration and which require deeper craft. You know when to hand off and when to keep building.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the SimCorp ONE product roadmap.
  • Own and evolve the multi-year strategy for our foundational platform capabilities — SC1 View, Action Center, and the design system — ensuring they compound toward a unified, coherent platform experience rather than four isolated products.
  • Define how these capabilities interlock: how View consumes governed APIs, how the Action Center routes work based on explicit responsibility profiles, and how SimCorp ONE makes every capability discoverable from a single, persona-aware starting point.
  • Shape the Action Center as the platform’s operational intelligence layer.
  • Own the product strategy for the Action Center — the responsibility-aware orchestration layer that shifts work detection from individuals to the platform.
  • Guide the evolution from targeted 1.0 signaling (corporate actions, option exercises, front-office flows) toward cross-domain orchestration and AI-driven prioritisation.
  • Ensure the principle of intentional silence is upheld: every routed signal is a justified claim on attention.
  • Define how the Action Center integrates with existing alert infrastructure in SCD Web and Order Manager without creating competing notification surfaces.
  • Lead SC1 View as the platform’s shared visibility layer.
  • Own the product strategy for SC1 View — the unified, high-performance monitoring surface that serves CIOs, Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, and Performance teams from one coherent interface.
  • Drive the key architectural decisions: widget data model, integration with SCD Web for drill-in workflows, the shared scope selection model using mandates and entities, and the thin orchestration layer that normalizes data from vertical backends.
  • Ensure View becomes the gold standard for the unified container and distributed development model — the application that proves the platform’s promise.
  • Drive cross-domain alignment and resolve platform-level trade-offs.
  • Facilitate structured prioritization across product lines — from resolving how domain APIs are classified into Foundational, Global, and Domain tiers, to aligning vertical teams on shared scope selection in View, to ensuring the Action Center integrates domain events without creating brittle dependencies.
  • Represent the platform’s interests where domain convenience conflicts with platform coherence and communicate those trade-offs clearly to senior leadership.
  • Represent the platform to clients, partners, and senior leadership.
  • Articulate the SimCorp ONE platform vision to C-level investment management clients, industry forums, client advisory boards, and commercial engagements.
  • Translate the technical architecture — what it means that the Action Center and APIs underpin agentic workflows, or that View is the shared visibility layer for the full front-to-back offer.
  • Mentor and develop AI powered Product Managers, raising the bar on product craft across the organization.
