About The Position

Trustmark is looking for a Senior Director, Product Management & Execution to own the implementation and ongoing management of product offerings by coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring operational readiness. This role collaborates with product compliance, IT, governance, process improvement, and regulatory requirements while executing on new product launches and enhancements. The Senior Director serves as a key liaison among business partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement solutions. Additionally, the role leverages data, market insights, and competitive analysis to support product strategy and decision-making while bringing new products and capabilities into market and supporting successful adoption and ongoing performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of progressive experience in product management or similar role, preferably within the insurance industry OR High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of progressive experience.
• Ability to lead projects with minimal oversight.
• Experience in business or technology transformation.
• Compliance/regulatory experience.
• Driven to lead and support large scale implementations, including new product, portfolio, or service launches.
• Collaborative and strategic; seeks to understand the lifecycle of the business and works in alignment.
• Results-oriented with excellent organizational skills, adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously, committed to following through and completing assignments in a timely and professional manner.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years in supplemental health, life, disability & leave, dental and vision, or related product lines in a support or individual contributor role.
• Membership or participation in industry associations (e.g., LIMRA, NASBI, DMEC, ACLI).

Responsibilities

• Directs cross-functional initiatives to plan, coordinate, and implement product launches or updates/changes across the organization.
• Partners with Product leadership, Compliance, Operations, IT, Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to define requirements, assess impacts, resolve issues, and ensure successful implementation.
• Supports the launch of new product lines by driving operational readiness and cross-functional execution.
• Owns the product management governance framework, ensuring operational processes, implementation standards, and compliance controls effectively support business growth, regulatory requirements, and product scalability.
• Serves as the escalation point for significant product, compliance, operational, and implementation issues, providing leadership and direction on risk mitigation, prioritization, and resolution strategies.
• Analyzes business impacts, identifies risks, and develops recommendations that balance compliance, operational efficiency, and customer experience while building consensus across stakeholder groups.
• Provides oversight with internal teams and external partners (e.g., third-party administrators, point solution vendors, etc.) to support the development and implementation of new partnerships and products.
• Establishes integration strategies and operational frameworks that support successful partner implementations, long-term relationship management, and sustainable business outcomes.
• Owns product implementation and operational performance oversight, leveraging business metrics, trend analysis, and performance insights to drive continuous improvement and executive decision-making.
• Primary Trainer for product managers and product administrators, responsible for onboarding and supporting ongoing knowledge base.
• Leads prioritization of product implementation initiatives, regulatory changes, and operational enhancements to maximize business value and organizational capacity.
• Leads or co-leads new product development, services, initiatives, or capabilities for assigned portfolio.
• Collaborates with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners to provide and support requirements for design, build, structure as applicable; may serve as Trustmark representative as relationship coordinator or owner with external parties.
• Ensures seamless transition from product development to product management, performs on-going product training.
• Owns the internal work needed to stand up any new offerings or capabilities.
• Supports product leadership to plan and bring new ideas to life.
• Continually gathers feedback post-launch to create backlog of items to improve or adjust in future product iterations.
• Works with compliance and legal internal partners where applicable on assigned product and services portfolio.
