About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for AI Agent Systems. This role is part of Salesforce AI Labs and operates like a startup within the company. The focus is on building Systems Integration Agent, which learns to operate enterprise applications and turns that knowledge into reusable, code-backed actions. The challenge lies in creating automation that businesses can trust for consequential processes. The Senior Director will work directly with the team's leader and engineers, alongside customers, to shape an early product and drive it towards a repeatable product business. This is a hands-on leadership role involving customer interaction, prioritization, shaping the user experience, and managing the product through launch and adoption. The individual must be comfortable investigating customer issues and presenting product strategy to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Taken an enterprise software product from ambiguity into production adoption.
  • Can explain owned decisions, customer usage, and product changes post-launch.
  • Hands-on experience bringing AI-powered products to users.
  • Understand why model quality alone is insufficient and can reason about evaluation, reliability, latency, cost, and human oversight.
  • Technically fluent: can engage deeply with engineers on agent behavior, APIs, workflow state, permissions, and failure recovery.
  • Build directly with customers: can move between CIO business objectives and process owner daily work, turning both into focused product decisions.
  • Demonstrate senior product judgment: owned consequential roadmap and investment tradeoffs, aligned teams without relying on reporting lines, and stayed accountable for outcomes.
  • Comfortable testing the product, writing precise requirements, investigating failures, and doing detailed work for an early product.

Nice To Haves

  • Enterprise automation, integration platforms, RPA, developer tools, or agent-based products.
  • Products used across systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Salesforce.
  • Combining enterprise sales with self-service evaluation or product-led adoption.
  • Working with forward-deployed engineering teams.
  • Growing a zero-to-one product within a startup or an incubation team.

Responsibilities

  • Build Directly With Customers: Work alongside enterprise customers to understand their processes, identify valuable automation opportunities, and define successful execution. Partner with engineering and forward-deployed engineers to take workflows from exploration through production adoption. Distinguish customer-specific requirements from recurring needs for core product investment. Establish credible measures of customer value, including time saved, operational cost, reliability, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Own Product Strategy and Prioritization: Shape the product vision, roadmap, and sequencing across agent learning, execution, evaluation, governance, and self-service. Decide on focus areas: which customers, systems, and workflows offer the strongest combination of customer value and repeatable adoption. Make tradeoffs between winning new customers and building capabilities for easier future deployments. Translate customer requirements and technical constraints into clear product decisions.
  • Make Powerful Technology Usable and Trustworthy: Partner with engineering and design to make recording, building, testing, debugging, and operating workflows accessible to process owners. Define how users understand agent capabilities, verify results, recover from failures, and retain control over consequential actions. Establish product-level success criteria and release gates grounded in task completion, correctness, intervention rates, and time to value. Build a path from hands-on onboarding to self-service adoption.
  • Take the Product to Market: Partner with Salesforce stakeholders across product marketing, sales, pricing, security, and legal to bring the offering to market. Shape positioning, packaging, and the customer journey from demonstration to evaluation, purchase, and production use. Build a growth strategy connecting enterprise buying decisions with technical validation and practitioner credibility. Keep leadership aligned on investment, strategy evidence, and future decisions.
  • Investigate failed customer workflows and present product strategy to executive leadership.
