About Rebuilding Together Greater Florida Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. We provide critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, disaster recovery services, and community revitalization programs that allow homeowners to live in safe, healthy, and independent homes. Position Summary The Senior Director of Workforce Development serves as a member of RTGFL's executive leadership team and provides strategic leadership for the organization's workforce development initiatives. This position is responsible for developing partnerships, creating career pathways, and implementing innovative workforce programs that support both organizational growth and community impact. The Senior Director will collaborate with educational institutions, employers, workforce development organizations, government agencies, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders to create internships, apprenticeships, mentoring opportunities, service-learning experiences, and employment pathways. In addition to workforce development, the position will lead RTGFL's volunteer engagement strategy by expanding opportunities for individual, corporate, skilled trade, educational, civic, and faith-based volunteers to support the organization's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Education, Construction Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, partnership development, education, economic development, or a related field.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and managing collaborative initiatives.
  • Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement RTGFL's workforce development strategy.
  • Create internship, apprenticeship, mentoring, and career pathway programs.
  • Build partnerships with colleges, universities, technical schools, workforce boards, employers, and community organizations.
  • Design workforce readiness initiatives that prepare participants for successful careers.
  • Identify emerging workforce needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and grow a comprehensive volunteer engagement program.
  • Recruit, engage, train, and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Expand opportunities for skilled trade professionals and corporate volunteer teams.
  • Coordinate volunteer participation for home repair projects, disaster response efforts, special events, and community initiatives.
  • Develop volunteer recognition and appreciation programs.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with community organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, foundations, and workforce partners.
  • Represent RTGFL at networking events, conferences, workforce forums, and community meetings.
  • Identify opportunities that expand community investment and organizational impact.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to advance organizational priorities.
  • Supervise assigned staff and provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Develop program goals, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Support grant development, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
