About The Position

The Senior Director of Supply Chain leads and optimizes California Dairies, Inc.’s end-to-end supply chain strategy, covering demand planning, manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, and distribution. The role is responsible for delivering a cost-effective supply chain that supports growth while maintaining customer service, product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Director partners with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Quality to translate business objectives into an integrated supply chain strategy. The position also provides strategic leadership to the customer service team and leads, guides, and supports team members through clear expectations, coaching, advocacy, recognition, and encouragement of process improvement and innovation. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to manufacturing sites. Personal protective equipment is required when working at those sites. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
At least 10 years of progressive supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to achieve them.
Strong managerial skills and ability to build, lead, and inspire a team.
Strong understanding of demand planning, S&OP, inventory management, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
Proven track record of measurable improvements in cost, service, inventory, and operational performance.
Good judgment in carrying out assigned duties.
English proficiency is required for written and spoken communication.
Must possess or be able to acquire a state-issued driver’s license.
Must use required personal protective equipment when working at manufacturing sites, including hearing protection, bump caps, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with company growth, financial, and customer objectives.
Lead demand and supply planning processes, including S&OP, and oversee supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution for fluid products, milk powders, and butter.
Establish processes, systems, and organizational capabilities to support business growth.
Develop supply chain risk-management and business-continuity strategies to improve resilience and mitigate disruptions.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the customer service team to support exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Partner with Sales to improve demand visibility, forecast accuracy, and promotional planning.
Establish appropriate inventory policies.
Improve order fulfillment, on-time delivery, and customer service.
Use data, analytics, and performance metrics to reduce supply chain costs and improve operational performance.
Partner with Quality to ensure supply chain activities meet food safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Ensure shelf-life management, traceability, and product integrity across the supply chain.
Lead, guide, and support team members by communicating goals and expectations, delegating effectively, coaching, recognizing contributions, advocating for team needs, and encouraging process improvement and innovation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
