About The Position

The Senior Director of PMO will lead the strategic planning, execution, and governance of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and capital improvement projects for Power Contracting, LLC. This role is critical in establishing and maintaining a scalable, repeatable project management framework aligned with business objectives in the utility and construction sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • PMP certification strongly preferred; PMI or other advance certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in construction/project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale utility projects.
  • Proven experience in utility, infrastructure, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Deep understanding of construction practices, codes, standards, and gas distribution systems.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management and ERP systems preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and respond to emergency situations with flexibility and urgency. Expected extended travel is less than 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PMO policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish project governance and performance metrics.
  • Align project execution with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide professional development and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance) and external contractors.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and executive leadership.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Select and implement project management software and tools.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making through dashboards and reporting.
