About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Private Cloud PMO Director with a proven record of success leading complex cloud, infrastructure, and managed services transformation programs. This senior, client-facing role will provide PMO leadership, delivery governance, integrated planning, executive reporting, stakeholder management, and risk-based delivery assurance across a high-visibility private cloud services engagement. The ideal candidate will bring disciplined program management practices, strong technical credibility, executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively across customer leadership, technology teams, security stakeholders, vendors, cloud partners, and NTT DATA delivery organizations. This role is based in Austin, Texas, with an expectation to work from the NTT DATA office two to three days per week and participate onsite in customer meetings as required.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience leading complex technology programs, private cloud services, infrastructure transformation, managed services transitions, workload migrations, or large-scale IT delivery initiatives.
  • 7+ years of experience in PMO leadership, program management, or portfolio management within multi-vendor and matrixed delivery environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification required; PgMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL, private cloud, infrastructure, or other cloud-related certifications preferred.
  • Proven record of success leading enterprise-scale private cloud, hybrid cloud, infrastructure, or managed services programs with measurable delivery outcomes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise, public-sector, government, or highly regulated clients where governance, procurement, compliance, and executive communications are critical.
  • Strong understanding of private cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, security, application dependencies, database considerations, disaster recovery, and managed services operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical and non-technical stakeholders through planning, execution, issue resolution, and executive decision-making processes.
  • Proven experience developing executive-level reporting, steering committee materials, integrated project plans, RAID logs, transformation dashboards, and formal governance documentation.
  • Strong technical credibility with the ability to understand private cloud platform readiness, architecture dependencies, security impacts, network constraints, and operational transition requirements.
  • High political acumen and sound judgment; able to navigate sensitive customer dynamics, vendor relationships, executive scrutiny, and competing priorities with professionalism and discretion.
  • Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex program information clearly to senior leaders, technical teams, business stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, meeting management, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments, drive accountability, and maintain disciplined documentation across fast-moving workstreams.
  • Ability to work from the NTT DATA Austin office two to three days per week and participate onsite in customer meetings as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure delivery environment where scheduled commitments, customer confidence, technical blockers, and vendor coordination must be managed simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PMO function for private cloud services and transformation programs, including governance, integrated planning, executive reporting, milestone tracking, risk management, issue escalation, and delivery assurance.
  • Coordinate across customer stakeholders, NTT DATA delivery teams, private cloud platform teams, infrastructure teams, application owners, security teams, procurement, and third-party vendors to maintain alignment and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, transformation roadmaps, dependency logs, action item registers, decision logs, and executive status materials.
  • Facilitate governance routines including working sessions, daily or weekly program reviews, risk and issue forums, stakeholder briefings, and steering committee preparation.
  • Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to track platform readiness, workload migration planning, dependency resolution, cutover planning, operational transition, and post-transition stabilization.
  • Provide fact-based, executive-ready communications that clearly identify progress, blockers, decisions needed, schedule impacts, financial considerations, and recovery actions.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in a highly visible enterprise delivery environment.
  • Support service transition activities including operational readiness, support model alignment, runbook development, SLA/KPI reporting expectations, escalation procedures, and handoff to managed services operations.
  • Drive accountability across matrixed teams while maintaining a collaborative, transparent, and client-centered delivery approach.
