  • Experience in startups or lean teams (seed through Series B/C) with a hands-on approach to marketing tasks.
  • Consistent marketing career thread, ideally weighted toward product marketing and demand generation.
  • Experience leading product launches, building ICP and persona work, and crafting messaging that improves win rates.
  • Experience owning a full funnel number (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, or sourced revenue) and achieving targets.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
  • Data-driven approach, focusing on metrics tied to revenue.
  • Familiarity with modern AI tools for marketing.
  • Experience marketing to operators of physical businesses is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing into trucking, logistics, drayage, freight forwarding, or 3PL audiences.
  • Background at an AI-first or AI-pro B2B SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, and the next-gen B2B marketing stack.
  • Hands-on experience with ABM motions for SMB and mid-market accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute PortPro’s end-to-end marketing strategy across product marketing, demand generation, content, brand, and field/event marketing.
  • Lead product marketing, including positioning, messaging, launches, sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and customer storytelling.
  • Drive demand generation programs (paid, SEO, lifecycle, ABM, partner, and event-led) to produce qualified pipeline and measurable revenue impact.
  • Partner with Sales to build a feedback loop on ICP, message-market fit, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity.
  • Translate a technical, AI-enhanced platform into clear, compelling stories for drayage operators.
  • Build, run, and report on a marketing budget, tracking metrics like CAC, payback, pipeline coverage, and source-of-pipeline.
  • Hire and coach a small, high-leverage team over time, starting with hands-on execution.
  • Represent PortPro at industry events, webinars, and customer conversations as a voice of the brand.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to build out the marketing function as the company scales.
  • Work in a no-drama, no-ego environment with smart, kind, hardworking people.
  • Surrounded by colleagues who inspire you to bring your best self to work.
