About The Position

Mantra Health is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing (Head of Marketing) to lead its marketing function during a period of growth. This role is responsible for demand generation, brand and content, campus marketing and conferences, and marketing operations. The position reports directly to the CEO and will manage a team of five marketers. The company sells to universities, which involves a long, multi-stakeholder sales cycle, and also needs to reach students to drive engagement and renewals. This role requires strategic planning abilities combined with a data-driven approach to understanding funnel performance. The opportunity includes building the marketing function's operating system during a growth-equity raise, working closely with the CEO and executive team.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years in B2B marketing
  • At least 3 to 5 years directly managing a multi-function marketing team
  • Demonstrated fluency in performance marketing and attribution
  • Experience owning the marketing-to-sales handoff end to end (lead routing, scoring, SLAs) in a CRM stack such as HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Experience managing brand, content, and field or campus marketing at once
  • Comfortable using AI tools (for example Claude, Gemini, or similar) as part of the daily operating model
  • Demonstrates accountability and ownership, and a bias toward building durable systems over short-term wins
  • Communication skills to represent marketing's priorities clearly to executives, Sales, and other teams.
  • Collaboration skills to build working relationships across functions.
  • Accountability to own outcomes and identify when something is not working.
  • Strategic thinking to set an annual marketing plan against growth targets and a fixed budget.
  • Operational excellence to read channel performance and attribution data and understand where to move spend.
  • Stakeholder management skills to negotiate SLAs with sales leaders.
  • Creative execution judgment to guide the team's creative work.
  • Experience managing a team through a leadership transition, retaining key personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Navigated attribution in a business with a long, multi-touch B2B sales cycle (6 months or more), and can walk through how credit was assigned and spend adjusted.
  • Marketed to two audiences on the same account: an institutional buying committee and an end-user population.
  • Run conferences or field marketing as a primary demand generation channel, with real cost-per-lead and pipeline accountability.
  • Worked in a market shaped by public-sector procurement or public-records dynamics (RFPs, FOIA requests, or public institution budget cycles).
  • Managed a co-marketing relationship with a partner who has an independent relationship with your same buyer.
  • Marketed a product with a multi-year renewal or expansion cycle tied to usage and outcomes data.
  • Picked up a demand generation program that had stalled or lost momentum and can point to specifically what was changed to get it moving again.

Responsibilities

  • Own marketing's contribution to pipeline and build a repeatable demand generation engine.
  • Own attribution across a long multi-touch sales cycle and set lead-scoring and handoff SLAs in partnership with Sales.
  • Own the conference and campus marketing portfolio as a core demand generation channel.
  • Set the direction for brand positioning, content, and public relations.
  • Own the marketing stack (HubSpot, Salesforce, reporting dashboards) and the team's data-driven decision-making.
  • Directly manage and develop four marketers, and rebuild intake and prioritization systems.
  • Coordinate with product marketing and lifecycle marketing on product launches.
  • Align with Sales leadership on Go-To-Market strategy and channel partnerships.
