Senior Director of Marketing

Accompany Health
$140,000 - $190,000Remote

About The Position

Accompany Health is seeking a Senior Director of Brand Marketing to shape the brand of a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare company from the ground up. This role offers significant input into the company's brand identity, strategy, and execution. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, close to strategy and execution, with high impact and visibility. This is a fully remote role where you will build and lead a team of marketers, setting direction and raising the bar for their work, while partnering directly with an experienced executive team. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Growth, and Clinical Operations, plus an external PR agency, to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints for patients, providers, and payers.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of progressive marketing and brand leadership experience, including building/scaling a marketing function, ideally in healthcare, health tech, or another regulated, mission-driven industry.
  • Track record owning brand positioning and narrative end-to-end – strategy through paid, earned, and content execution – with measurable impact on brand awareness and demand.
  • Experience running paid and earned media programs (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, PR) and managing external agencies (creative, media, PR).
  • Experience developing content strategy and overseeing production across formats (video, written); comfort building thought leadership programs with clinical/technical SMEs a plus.
  • Proven people leadership – able to manage, coach, and grow a small team while staying close to execution in a fast-scaling environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator – able to partner with Product, Data Science, Network, and Growth without owning it all.
  • Experience owning a marketing budget and reporting on performance/ROI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across audiences and formats.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with value-based care, health plans, or provider audiences.
  • Consumer marketing background.

  • Define and sharpen the value proposition across audiences, including patients and health plans.
  • Craft and steward a distinctive visual identity across all audiences.
  • Manage the content calendar, including production and implementation, in close collaboration with PR agency – from peer-review manuscripts and conferences to video, carousels, and papers.
  • Drive paid media strategy across Meta, LinkedIn, and other targeted, regional, and national channels.
  • Lead earned media strategy, including PR and social.
  • Build and maintain the integrated marketing calendar, determining what brand creative runs and when.
  • Manage and elevate owned channels as brand channel, including: corporate website, blog, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  • Own the work of moving patients from eligible to engaged through onboarding, activation and retention through direct marketing channels (mailers, SMS, outbound calls, digital).
  • Define the messaging strategy that targets patients at each stage of the enrollment journey.
  • Determine cadence and sequencing of marketing campaigns across direct mail, SMS, and outbound call touchpoints, including fulfillment and execution.
  • Direct creative development, including branding and look and feel of marketing materials, across patient education content, Welcome Boxes and folders, and on-site specialist materials – for maximum breakthrough and credibility.
  • Partner with Data Science and Patient Engagement teams to evaluate the effectiveness of patient engagement campaigns.
  • Establish marketing measurement, including dashboards and reporting.
  • Manage the marketing budget and its tracking.
  • Support the marketing roadmap, including quarterly resourcing conversations with Product and Design.
  • Directly manage a team of marketers – hiring, developing, and growing the team as the function scales.
  • Set direction and priorities for direct reports, and coach them to raise the bar on their work.
  • Support the Product and Patient Engagement & Experience teams on member acquisition strategy.
  • Support the Provider team on provider material development through a brand strategy lens.
