About The Position

The Senior Director of Information Technology (Sr Dir of IT) directs, manages and ensures efficient and optimal performance of the organization’s information technology and business application systems for the affiliate. This position is responsible to plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities for the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical organization operations. Ensures productivity expectations, customer service and compliance standards are maintained. Abides by the organization’s mission in performing job duties. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to PPGT’s culture of quality, safety and risk awareness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of IT-relevant exempt experience or Associate’s degree + 8 years of IT-relevant exempt experience or High School diploma or equivalent + 10 years of IT-relevant exempt experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience in the following: Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Cisco Meraki networking, UCaaS/CCaaS, User Lifecycle Management, Technology Lifecycle Management, Vendor Lifecycle Management, DR/BC, MSP/MSSP Management, Strategic Technology Planning.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Internet.
  • Must have the willingness and ability to adapt to change including advances or new technology.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to identify operational improvement opportunities, make recommendations and implement remediation.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and possible holidays.
  • Must be able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises and manages the Information Technology (IT) and Clinical Applications teams for the organization.
  • Effectively manages all technology and software vendors, including managed service provider (MSP) and managed security service provider (MSSP) partners for the organization.
  • In conjunction with senior leadership, formulates and deploys annual and long-term (five-year) strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information technology, information security, collaboration and communication technologies.
  • Manages the IT and Clinical Application teams operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, company and departmental Service Level Agreements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
  • Responsible for all aspects of staff supervision including: interviewing, hiring, and training IT staff; identifying and assessing employee skill and making recommendations to improve performance; developing all IT staff, communicating clear productivity and customer service expectations and holding IT staff accountable for achieving results.
  • Defines and communicates project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
  • Reviews performance of IT systems to assess operating costs, productivity levels, security, refresh, and upgrade requirements.
  • Benchmarks, monitors, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Initiate bids for all hardware and software upgrades, reviews submitted bids for compliance, and makes the appropriate award.
  • Oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all hardware and software.
  • Develops and implements all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, applications, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Negotiates administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Examines workflow processes to increase efficiency, builds service-oriented teams, adept in change process, meets productivity goals.
  • Partners with Human Resources on internal investigations as needed.
  • Work in conjunction with supervisor to establish overall budget for area of responsibility.
  • Produces timely and accurate reports to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and regulatory agencies.
  • Has unrestricted access to client protected health information (PHI) on paper and electronic forms for purposes of treatment, payment, and/or healthcare operations. The use of a client’s protected health information should be limited to information needed for the specific task that is being performed or requested by the individual client. Disclosure of any client information must be for purposes of treatment, payment or healthcare operation OR must be accompanied by a valid authorization. Must adhere to minimum necessary rule.
